Company website design & build: Five pages, five design directions
Five complete company websites (25 pages in total), built as live, responsive pages rather than mockups. Each template covers the same five-page structure a company site actually needs, in a different visual direction, and each page ships under 25 KB of HTML and CSS with zero JavaScript and no images to load.

The starting point
Most company-website projects stall in the same place: the owner cannot judge a direction from a mood board, and the alternative (a page-builder theme) looks like every other business in the same trade. Meanwhile the demo site is usually three screens of stock photography and lorem ipsum, so nobody can tell whether the design survives real content: a rate card, a fee schedule, a machine list, an opening-hours table.
What was built
- Five design directions, not five recolours: each template has its own typeface pairing, palette, spacing scale and page structure (an ops-desk layout, an editorial document layout, a soft clinical layout, a dark technical drawing sheet and a product-led SaaS layout)
- The same five pages every company site needs: landing page, services or product detail, credibility page (team, firm or capabilities), a page that answers price, and contact with a working enquiry form
- Real content instead of placeholder text: published cut-off times and transit days, a fee schedule with ranges, treatment prices per visit, machining tolerances in µm, plan comparison rows, the material a buyer actually reads before enquiring
- Industry-specific components where they earn their place: a live shipment tracker, a credentials ledger, an appointment-slot card, a shop capability plate, and a dispatch board built entirely in CSS
- No photography dependency: the visual weight comes from typography, colour and CSS-drawn structure, so a client with no photo library still gets a site that looks finished
- Built as static Astro pages on Cloudflare: no JavaScript, no page builder, no CMS to patch monthly, visible keyboard focus states and reduced-motion support throughout

What it changed
- A client picks a direction by clicking through five working sites, not by approving a picture
- Every page ships under 25 KB of HTML and CSS with zero JavaScript, so the site loads on a weak mobile connection at a customer site
- Because the structure is shared, rebranding a chosen template to a real company (copy, palette, typefaces, logo) is days of work rather than a project restart
- Nothing to maintain after launch: static files on Cloudflare, no plugin updates, no theme licence renewals, no admin login to be compromised
Common questions
Can I just take one of these templates for my company?
That is what they are for. Pick the direction that fits your trade and we rebrand it with your copy, colours, typefaces and logo; the fictional company content is replaced entirely. Typical turnaround for a five-page site from a chosen template is one to two weeks including your content review.
Do I need to supply professional photos?
No. All five templates are deliberately photo-free: the design works through typography, colour and layout. If you do have photos of your plant, clinic or team, they go in and improve it further; the site does not depend on them arriving.
What does a five-page company website cost, and what about hosting?
Starting from a template, a five-page bilingual site sits in the lower range on my pricing page, and hosting on Cloudflare is typically free at this traffic level; you pay for the domain. Send me your industry and the pages you need and I will reply with a concrete range within a business day.
Can the site be bilingual, English and Chinese?
Yes. The site you are reading is built that way, with locale-prefixed URLs, hreflang tags and one content source per language. The templates are shown in English only so the design is judged on its own; adding a second language is a known, priced step rather than a rebuild.
Will the forms actually work?
In the demo templates the forms are styled but inert; they submit nothing on purpose. On a delivered site the enquiry form posts to email, WhatsApp or your CRM, with spam protection and a copy of every submission kept where you can search it.
