Privacy Notice

The data controller is WilliamW Resources (202603255930 / 003894196-U), a business registered in Malaysia and operated by William W. Enquiries about your data go to inquiry@williamw.name.my and are answered by the same person who builds the systems.

Only what you type into the contact form: your name, email address, and optionally your company and WhatsApp/phone number, plus what you currently use to manage the work, your budget range, your timeline and your message.

The page you were on when you opened the form, and the language of the page, are recorded alongside the message, so I know what you were reading. No account is created, and the site’s analytics and ads set cookies, as described under “Analytics and advertising” below.

To reply to your enquiry and, where you ask for one, to prepare a written scope and quote. It is not used for anything else — no newsletter. I do not sell or share any list, and unanswered outreach records are deleted after 180 days.

If you send a vehicle list for the free Renewal Check, it is used only to list the renewals due in the next 90 days. The file is deleted after the check unless you decide to go ahead with a project.

Occasionally I write first to a business that looks like it runs on spreadsheets. In that case the details I hold are a business contact — company name, a business email address or phone number, and what the business does — taken from public business listings, the company’s own website or LinkedIn. Nothing is bought from a data broker.

The purpose is a single business enquiry about whether a system would help. If you do not reply, the record is deleted after 180 days. If you would rather not hear from me at all, reply “not needed” and the record is deleted straight away and never contacted again.

What you send through the contact form is saved in a Lark (Larksuite) Base, a spreadsheet-style database where I read and follow up enquiries. Lark stores it as a processor, on servers that may be outside Malaysia, and it is used only to reply to that enquiry. If saving to Lark fails, the submission is written to this site’s server logs on Cloudflare instead, so that it is not lost; those logs are deleted automatically by the platform. Text you type into the site search is sent to Cloudflare AI Search, which finds the matching pages on this site. The search text and its results are cached by Cloudflare for a day, so a repeated search does not run again, and then expire. The text is not stored with anything that identifies you, is not sent to Google Analytics, and I do not keep a record of searches. Site traffic is measured with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-less and does not identify individual visitors, and with Google Analytics, which does set cookies — see “Analytics and advertising” below. Tapping a WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal link passes through a redirect on this site, and tapping the email link sends a small notice to that same address on this site, so the tap can be counted. What is kept as a count is only the channel, the page it came from, the language and whether the device was a phone — never who tapped. If Google Analytics is running on the page when you tap, the tap is also reported to Google Analytics from the server as a contact event, under the random ID in its _ga cookie and your current visit, with the channel, the page, the language and your country. If Google Analytics is blocked or switched off in your browser — an ad blocker, Google’s opt-out add-on, or refused cookies — nothing is sent. Your IP address is not passed on to Google from this redirect. Separately, the hosting platform keeps short-lived server logs of those redirect requests and of site searches (the address requested, not the search text), which do include your IP address and browser user-agent, as any web server would; they exist to diagnose faults, are not used to build a profile of you, and are deleted automatically by the platform.

This site uses Google Analytics to see how visitors find and use it: which pages are read, how people arrived, which outside links are clicked, and roughly where (country and city) and on what kind of device. It sets cookies on this site whose names start with _ga; they hold a random ID for up to two years so a returning browser can be recognised. Google receives your IP address with each page view to estimate your location; Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Google processes this data on its own servers, which may be outside Malaysia. I see reports, and Google’s tools can show the pages one browser viewed under that random ID, but never your name or contact details. You can block Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on (desktop browsers) or by blocking cookies in your browser.

This site uses Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site and other websites, and to measure how the ads perform. Google’s advertising cookies let it and its partners serve ads to you based on those visits. Google processes this information itself, under its own privacy policy, and may do so outside Malaysia. You can turn off personalised ads in Google’s Ad Settings, or opt out of personalised advertising from many third-party vendors at aboutads.info. I only see aggregate reports from Google — how many times ads were shown and clicked across the site — never who you are or what you clicked.

Enquiries stay in the Lark Base (or in my email, if you wrote to me directly) while we are in contact and for as long as needed for the work that follows. If a project does not go ahead, you can ask me to delete the enquiry at any time and I will.

Under the PDPA you may ask to access or correct the personal data you have sent, or ask for it to be deleted. Email me and I will action it — there is no form to fill in for this.
