Home / Our firm
A firm built to be answerable.
Six partners, 41 professional staff, one office in Kuala Lumpur and a second in Penang. Small enough that the partner knows your business; large enough to finish an audit on time.
Since 2011
Meridian was founded by two audit managers who had spent a decade watching owner-managed businesses get the leftovers of a large firm’s attention: the junior team, the rolled-over management letter, the fee that arrived after the work.
The practice was built the other way around. Compliance work is quoted as a fixed fee. Every engagement letter carries dates. The partner who signs the proposal is the partner who answers the phone in November, when the filing deadline is three weeks out.
Fifteen years later, roughly four in five of our clients came from a referral by another client — which is the only marketing metric we track.

How we work
Four commitments that are in writing, not on a wall.
- 01
Fixed fees for compliance
Audit, tax filing and secretarial work are quoted as a fixed annual fee. Additional work is quoted before it starts, never invoiced after.
- 02
Dated milestones
The engagement letter names the information-request date, fieldwork week, draft date and signing date. If we miss one, we tell you before you notice.
- 03
One partner, one manager
The same two people stay on your file year to year. Questions come through them, in one consolidated request.
- 04
Plain answers
If a tax position is aggressive, we say so and we say what the downside looks like. We would rather lose the fee than sign something we would have to defend twice.
Careers
We take four graduates a year, and we train them ourselves.
Audit associates at Meridian attend client meetings in their first year and sit with the manager who reviews their work. If that is the training you are looking for, write to the address below.
