Practice areas

What we do, who each service is actually for, and what you receive at the end of it.

Practice I

Statutory audit & assurance

We audit private companies and groups reporting under MFRS and MPERS, from single-entity trading companies to groups with subsidiaries in Singapore and Indonesia. Fieldwork is scheduled as a block, not spread across three months of intermittent questions.

Before we quote, we look at last year’s file. If the previous auditor left issues open — unreconciled intercompany balances, directors’ accounts, stock counts nobody attended — they go in the proposal as work, not as a surprise in month two.

You receive

  • Audited financial statements and audit report
  • Management letter with control findings, ranked by risk
  • Tax computation aligned to the audited figures
  • Filing with SSM handled by our secretarial team

Typical timetable

Information request 4 weeks before fieldwork · fieldwork 1–2 weeks · draft within 10 working days · signature within 3 working days of your confirmation.

Practices II & III

Tax and corporate secretarial, handled in the same building.

Tax compliance & planning

Form C, Form E, CP204 revisions, personal returns for directors, transfer-pricing documentation for related-party transactions, and representation when LHDN opens a field audit.

  • Corporate tax computation and filing
  • Withholding tax on foreign payments
  • SST registration and advisory
  • Incentive applications: MIDA, Pioneer Status, RA
  • Voluntary disclosure and appeal drafting

Corporate secretarial

A licensed company secretary keeps your registers, resolutions and lodgements current — including the ones owners forget until a bank or buyer asks for them.

  • Incorporation and constitution drafting
  • Annual return and financial statement lodgement
  • Share transfers, allotments and capital reduction
  • Director and shareholder changes
  • Registered office and statutory record custody

Practices IV & V

Transaction advisory and outsourced finance.

Transaction advisory

For owners on either side of a deal, or inside a family restructuring where the shareholders share a dinner table.

  • Financial due diligence with a quality-of-earnings view
  • Business valuation for sale, buy-out or estate purposes
  • Vendor assistance — getting the numbers ready to be examined
  • Succession and holding-structure design with your tax position modelled

Outsourced finance function

A finance function on a monthly retainer: bookkeeping, payroll, statutory contributions and management accounts you can actually run the business from.

  • Monthly management accounts by working day 10
  • Payroll with EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB filings
  • Accounts payable runs and bank reconciliation
  • 13-week rolling cash-flow forecast

How an engagement runs

Four stages, dated in the engagement letter.

  1. 01

    Scoping meeting

One hour, no charge. We look at last year’s accounts, your current filing status and anything outstanding with LHDN or SSM.

  2. 02

    Written proposal

Scope, the partner responsible, a fixed fee for compliance work and the dates for each milestone — within three working days of the meeting.

  3. 03

    Fieldwork & filing

One information request, one block of fieldwork, one draft. Questions come from the manager on your file, not from four different juniors.

  4. 04

    Post-filing review

A 45-minute meeting on what the numbers show, what we would fix before next year, and what it would cost to fix it.

Common questions

Before you change firms.

Can you take over an audit mid-year?

Yes. We write to the outgoing auditor for professional clearance, review their prior file and tell you in writing what we found before accepting the engagement.

Our books are behind. Do we need to fix them first?

No — that is usually the first piece of work. We quote the catch-up separately from the audit so you can see what the backlog actually costs.

Will the same people work on our file each year?

The partner and manager stay with your file for the life of the engagement. Audit rotation rules apply only to listed and public-interest entities.

Do you work with companies outside Malaysia?

We audit Malaysian entities and coordinate with local firms for Singapore, Indonesian and Hong Kong subsidiaries within a group audit.
